Terms of Service

Cartlyt is an AI Household Operating System: it compares product prices across third-party retailers, scans receipts into structured spending data, and provides analytics such as budgets, a personal inflation estimate, and restock predictions. We are an independent tool and are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or selling on behalf of any retailer.

You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country).

You keep ownership of the receipts and content you upload. You grant us a limited license to store and process them solely to provide the service to you and your household (for example, extracting items and prices, and generating analytics). You confirm you have the right to upload what you submit. You can delete your receipts and account at any time.

If you create or join a household, its data is shared with all members, and any member can add or remove shared items. The owner can remove members or disband the household. Only invite or join people you trust.

• Cartlyt offers a free plan and paid plans (Pro and Family). New accounts include a 7-day Pro trial.
• Where offered, prices may be shown and charged in your local currency.
• Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) through Stripe until cancelled.
• You can cancel anytime from the billing portal; you keep paid features until the end of the current billing period.
• Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. We may change pricing with reasonable notice.

Cartlyt's budgets, spending analytics, personal inflation estimate, savings figures, and predictions are informational tools generated from your own data — not financial, tax, investment, or professional advice. The personal inflation rate is a simple calculation from the prices on your receipts and is not an official or audited index. Always use your own judgement and consult a qualified professional for financial decisions.

Retailer prices, availability, and listings change constantly and are provided by third parties. We make no guarantee that any price, discount, trust score, or prediction shown in Cartlyt is accurate, current, or will result in savings. Always confirm the final price on the retailer's checkout page before purchasing. Cartlyt is a decision aid, not a guarantee, and never places orders or handles your payment details for retailer purchases.

You agree not to:

• scrape, resell, or redistribute Cartlyt's data or output at scale;
• abuse, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the service or its infrastructure;
• upload content you don't have the right to, or unlawful, infringing, or abusive content;
• use the service to violate any law or third-party rights.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cartlyt is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any purchasing or financial decisions you make based on the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Washington, DC, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing here removes mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live.
